ROLFING® also known as STRUCTURAL INTEGRATION is a holistic form of bodywork developed by Dr. Ida P. Rolf over fifty years ago. It specifically works with the connective tissue in the body (fascia) to release, re-align, and balance the body while maintaining integration. I focus on both structure and function of the body to have the best relationship to gravity. I look forward to working with folks to find their best sense of self and comfort in their body.

I was born and raised in Nova Scotia, always an ocean baby and adventurer I travelled to study in Spain, Cuba, and Haida Gwaii. In 2013 I participated in the semester program at the Haida Gwaii Institute. Since then I’ve lived on island honoured to be a guest on the unceded territory of the Haida Nation.

I grew up very active and creative and engaged with everything I do. I found yoga after a knee injury in my teens and have loved that practice and teaching in the community. A subsequent knee injury is how I found Rolfing®. I limped in to my first appointment and was able to run out. I didn’t know much about the practice at first but as I gained an understanding of how Rolfing® works I was hooked. Working holistically connecting the musculoskeletal and nervous systems helped me to understand the relationship between my own mental and physical health.

Rolfing® can help a person feel at home in their body. It is not about ‘fixing’, rather it’s about building an awareness so that we can move and live with more ease. I attended the Dr Ida Rolf Institute® in Boulder, Colorado and was certified in September 2022. My practice is in Masset at Anahata Yoga and Healing Arts where I share space with other holistic practitioners and will soon be teaching yoga as well. In both modalities my goal is to support folks to feel better in and about their bodies.
